Season Calendar
Overview
TEAM 2137 is a year-round team. Each season begins at the start of May when FIRST announces the theme of the new season and concludes in April with the World Championships for teams at all levels.

This is our busiest time: from the game kickoff to our final competition, the team has a very short time to build a robot, submit for awards, develop presentations, and practice for competitions. |

Spring Competition Season
January – April — Competition Season. This is our busiest time: from the game kickoff to our final competition, the team has a very short time to build a robot, submit for awards, develop presentations, and practice for competitions.
Competition-season timeline: The game is kicked off on the first Saturday in January. The core work — building the robot and preparing the awards submissions — falls in the first 6–8 weeks. After build season, the meeting cadence varies with the practice needs of the Drive Team and the Impact Award presenters, and more time may be scheduled if students decide to keep improving the robot.
Season path: Build (January–February) → two District Competitions (typically March) → Michigan State Championship (typically first week of April) → FRC World Championship (typically third week of April). See Competition Season for the full competition path and advancement details.
